Every bride wants her special day to be perfect, even down to the finishing touches. Decorating the space where the wedding reception will be held is one very important finishing touch. After all, every guest will walk into this room, and it will undoubtedly feature in many of the photographs taken on the day - the memories of this room will last a lifetime. Utilising the right decorations can make a room feel magical. For example, the addition of candles or fairy lights can give a warm glow or sparkle to an area of the room that may otherwise be dark and uninviting. Choosing décor that matches your wedding colours can also give a classy and elegant feel to the room.
Decorating the wedding reception area doesn’t have to be costly. For example, fresh floral arrangements can be
swapped for dried or silk flowers; they look just as stunning but often work out cheaper. Hanging swags of voile fabric on the ceilings and round doorways can soften the edges of a room, and helps to create that magical effect you might be trying to create. These come in many colours and the same fabric can even be used as tablecloths or table skirting to help contribute to your overall theme. For those who don’t want floral arrangements on their tables why not try balloons instead. They are becoming increasingly popular at wedding receptions, and have the added advantage of
keeping the younger children happy as the evening wears on. Of course, an overly decorated room can have the opposite effect of what you are trying to achieve, so try not to over do it!
